Bakersfield Fire Department crews conducted a rescue drill that gave firefighters the chance to practice skills, teamwork and decision-making, the department said in a Facebook post.

The department said its fire crews train year-round to stay ready for all types of emergencies and that they train because seconds matter when lives are on the line.
