Wake County Animal Center launches Team Dog vs Cat

Wake County Government said the Wake County Animal Center is joining the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026 with its own competition: Team Dog versus Team Cat.

The Adoption Cup campaign is set to run from June 11 to July 19, according to the post. WakeGov said the two teams will compete to see which side can “score the most adoptions.”

The post said the campaign is about bragging rights, with the prize being a forever home.
