On Saturday, Feb. 7, Sarasota County Fire Department personnel responded to two brush fires. One fire was located in the 5300 block of Saddle Oak Trail, and the other was in the 3400 block of Wild Citrus Road.

Multiple units from the Sarasota County Fire Department and teams from the Florida Forest Service are working on both fires. Crews have taken steps to protect nearby homes and are checking for hotspots. Motorists are being advised to avoid these areas and seek alternate routes. Residents in the vicinity are urged to stay alert. Smoke from the fires may be visible through the evening.
